Gate.io becomes first centralized exchange to add Polymarket

Gate.io on March 24 integrated Polymarket prediction markets into its centralized exchange, enabling Yes/No event contracts with instant execution and automated settlement inside the platform.

Gate.io announced on March 24, 2026, that it integrated Polymarket prediction markets directly into its centralized exchange, describing the launch as the first of its kind for a CEX. The feature lets users trade event outcomes in a simple Yes or No format, with instant execution and automated settlement, all within the Gate.io exchange interface.

With the integration, users can take positions on topics such as sports results, cryptocurrency developments, macroeconomic trends, and political events. Positions settle automatically once outcomes are determined, removing the need for manual claims or external wallets.

In a post on X, the company wrote:

Gate becomes the first CEX to integrate Polymarket, bringing a new way to trade global events… just pick Yes or No,” and referenced “instant execution” and “auto settlement.

Prediction markets let participants speculate on real-world events and are used to aggregate views on likely outcomes. Until now, many users accessed these markets through decentralized platforms that required blockchain wallets and third-party applications.

Gate.io describes the embedded product as a way to simplify access for users who are unfamiliar with decentralized finance tools by keeping trading and settlement inside the exchange environment.

Availability can vary by location. Event-based markets can be subject to rules related to betting or financial instruments, and compliance requirements differ by jurisdiction.

Crypto exchanges have been expanding beyond spot and derivatives to include new products that increase user engagement, and integrated event markets are part of that trend.
