Startale teams up with Twin Planet to launch tokenized assets - The Coinomist

Web3 company Startale and entertainment firm Twin Planet have partnered to create a new platform offering tokenized rights on the blockchain.

Startale Group, a Japan-based Web3 tech company, announced a collaboration with entertainment firm Twin Planet to explore innovative connections between cultural content and blockchain-based rights and digital assets.

In an announcement released on September 2, Startale says that entertainment tokenized assets (ETAs) will make entertainment rights and revenue streams transparent, programmable, and globally accessible. By moving these assets onchain, the company aims to connect creators, fans, and investors while enabling new ways to manage and monetize intellectual property.

Startale highlights several key benefits of moving rights onchain: easier access for wallets, apps, and markets, plus the ability to build on real value through long-term participation from fans and creators. The system uses permissioned access for security where required, while staying open when possible, in line with Japan’s standards. Both institutions and individual investors can participate, trade assets fairly, and bundle multiple titles to manage risk and support different projects. Creators can access funding upfront, while fans gain transparent exposure to success under clear rules and protections.

Both Kenji Yashima, CEO of Twin Planet, and Sota Watanabe, CEO of Startale Group, emphasize that their collaboration focuses on bringing creators and fans closer than ever. Yashima highlights how fan support can now directly fuel creativity, while Watanabe points out that Japan’s culture and blockchain tech make it possible to scale this globally. Together, they see Entertainment Tokenized Assets as a way for fans, creators, and investors to collaborate and enjoy new, meaningful experiences.

Blockchain partnerships in entertainment focus on practical use cases like tokenized rights, fan engagement platforms, and NFT collectibles. Companies like Animoca Brands and Warner Music use fan tokens and digital ownership to create new revenue streams and engage audiences directly. Crypto exchange WhiteBIT partners with Juventus for digital content creation and interactive experiences. More partnerships are expected as blockchain and entertainment continue to intersect.
