Newcastle United partners with crypto exchange BYDFi

The partnership was announced on Monday. BYDFi operates in 190 countries and has more than one million users on its platform.

BYDFi branding will appear in Newcastle's digital content including monthly match highlights. The exchange will have visibility during the club's online and social media content.

Peter Silverstone, Newcastle United's Chief Commercial Officer, commented on the deal. “We are delighted to welcome BYDFi to our growing family of partners and excited to be working with such an innovative and forward-thinking brand,” Silverstone said.

BYDFi was established in 2020 as a cryptocurrency trading platform. The company operates across multiple countries and offers crypto trading services to retail users.

Michael Hung serves as BYDFi's CEO. “Partnering with one of Europe's biggest clubs shows our ambition to continue our growth and reach new audiences,” Hung said.

Hung described the company's approach using the term “BUIDL,” which he defined as turning ideas into action through consistent effort.

Newcastle United broadcasts Premier League matches to international audiences. The club ranks among the top five European clubs for television viewership in the Asia-Pacific region.

The agreement gives BYDFi access to Newcastle's fan base through digital marketing channels. Newcastle gains access to BYDFi's international user network through the partnership.
