VAP Group and Times of Games host the Global Games Show in Riyadh this June. The conference runs June 29-30, 2026, with programming split between technical innovation sessions and business strategy discussions across gaming, esports, and Web3.
The first day covers gaming tech innovation: Saudi Arabia's esports growth, game engine advances, brain-computer interfaces, and AI-driven design. The second day addresses gameconomics: crowdfunding for indie studios, mobile gaming markets, community building, and investor partnerships.
Previous GGS editions featured Yat Siu (Animoca Brands), Johnson Yeh (ROEHL/Ambrus Studio), Paul Dawalibi (Holodeck Ventures), Ilman Shazhaev (Farcana), Jonathan Bouzanquet (PLAYA3ULL Games), and Klaus Kajetski (YaLLa Esports). The 2026 lineup has not been fully announced.
The event floor includes live gameplay demos and pre-release builds, Web3 gaming showcases with NFTs and on-chain economies, startup pitch sessions, and networking zones with matchmaking sessions for developers, investors, and publishers.
The event aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the National Gaming and Esports Strategy, which targets top-three global gaming market status by 2030. A single ticket includes access to co-located Global AI Show and Global Blockchain Show, reflecting convergence of gaming with AI and blockchain tech.
