Tokenized equity perps drive RWA trading to $470B monthly

Tokenized equity perpetual futures lifted tokenized RWA monthly volumes from $85B in January to about $470B in June, led by SPCX flows concentrated on Binance, Hyperliquid and OKX.

Tokenized equity perpetual futures drove tokenized real-world-asset (RWA) monthly trading from $85 billion in January to about $470 billion in June 2026. Volume across exchanges rose roughly 450% over the six-month period.

Equity perps expanded about sevenfold between January and June. Pre-IPO SPCX was the largest single contributor, with more than $66 billion traded in June when the firm completed its IPO in mid-June. Other active single-stock names included MU, SNDK, SK-HYNIX and INTC.

Trading was concentrated on a small number of platforms. Binance, Hyperliquid and OKX together accounted for over 80% of tokenized RWA perpetual futures volume in June; Binance handled nearly half of the category’s activity. Hyperliquid was the principal onchain venue among the leading platforms. Smaller onchain venues such as Ostium and Lighter recorded substantially lower volumes.

Traders point to access to leveraged, round-the-clock exposure to assets that in traditional markets trade during limited hours and are typically available through KYC-gated brokerages. Some onchain venues provide trading without KYC; Hyperliquid offers that option.

Perpetual futures are derivative contracts that let traders hold leveraged positions without a fixed settlement date. On crypto exchanges these instruments combine derivatives functionality with tokenized representations of real-world assets, allowing continuous trading and higher leverage than many traditional venues.

Between January and June the measurable changes in the market included a sharp rise in tokenized equity perp volumes, a concentration of volume among a few exchanges, and heavy trading in pre-IPO and single-stock names. Market participants and platform operators noted the differences in KYC policies and liquidity across venues during the period.
