Revolut links Revolut X crypto exchange to AI assistants
Revolut connected its Revolut X crypto exchange to third-party AI assistants, letting users analyze markets, monitor portfolios and place trades with natural-language prompts.
Revolut announced on Friday that it has linked its standalone crypto exchange, Revolut X, to third-party AI assistants. The integration supports assistants such as Claude, Gemini, OpenClaw and Cursor and allows users to connect accounts via a universal skill or a command-line interface published on GitHub without writing code.
The connection lets customers ask for plain-text portfolio breakdowns, pull real-time market data, set custom price alerts, place market and limit orders, and manage open positions without returning to the Revolut X app. Users can describe a trading idea in natural language — for example, a grid strategy on bitcoin over the past 90 days — and receive historical performance, risk metrics and optimization results from the linked assistant.
Revolut said the feature works through supported third-party assistants and through a universal skill that other platforms can adopt. The GitHub command-line interface offers an alternative path for integration. Customers must review and approve every order before it is executed, and Revolut said it does not endorse or guarantee the performance of third-party tools and is not liable for losses, missed opportunities or erroneous trades that result from AI errors.
Leonid Bashlykov, Revolut’s head of product for crypto, described AI agents as providing “much faster workflows, smarter execution, and tighter integration with the tools we use to trade every day.”
Revolut X is operated by Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd., which is licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission as a crypto asset service provider under the EU’s Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation.
Revolut X launched as a desktop-only platform for UK retail customers in May 2024. The service expanded to 30 European markets in November 2024 and added a mobile app for users in the UK and the EEA in March 2025. Revolut reported it has more than 75 million retail customers and over 16 million crypto users across its services.
Crypto exchanges and brokerages have been adding AI assistants that can connect to trading accounts, automate data retrieval and help test strategies. Other platforms have launched features that link large language model assistants to live accounts or use open standards to enable third-party integrations.
Revolut included warnings about third-party tools and limits on its liability in its announcement.
