Galaxy Digital wins 15-year naming rights at Texas Tech

Galaxy Digital will rename Jones AT&T Stadium to Galaxy Stadium under a 15-year deal starting with the 2026 season and will be Texas Tech’s official data-center and digital-assets partner.

Galaxy Digital reached a 15-year agreement to rename Texas Tech's Jones AT&T Stadium to Galaxy Stadium beginning with the 2026 football season. The university announced the partnership on Friday and did not disclose financial terms. Some reports value the deal at more than $70 million over 15 years, roughly $4.7 million per year.

Under the agreement, Galaxy will be the university's official data center and digital-assets partner. The company will receive branded placements at football games and on the men's and women's basketball teams' game-day and digital platforms. The firm will work with student-athletes on endorsement deals and marketing campaigns and plans to expand recruiting from the campus into its nearby Helios data center campus in Dickens County.

Galaxy has invested billions to develop the Helios campus, which it describes as a 1.6-gigawatt data center site among the largest in North America. The facility is designed to support computing for cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence workloads.

Mike Novogratz, Galaxy's founder and chief executive, said in a statement: “Texas Tech is exactly the kind of institution we want to be aligned with. At our Helios campus in nearby Dickens County, we're building the infrastructure that powers the code economy.”

The agreement is part of a wave of sponsorships by crypto and AI infrastructure companies with collegiate and professional sports teams. Texas Tech's athletics department will carry the Galaxy brand at Red Raider events beginning in the 2026 season, and the partnership will connect campus talent and academic programs with the company's operations in West Texas.
