Bitmine Immersion bought 27,801 ETH, lifting its ether holdings to 5.77 million tokens, about 4.8% of supply. Chairman Tom Lee said everyday users are starting to see ETH as money.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies purchased 27,801 ETH, bringing its ether treasury to 5.77 million tokens, the company disclosed Monday. The holdings represent roughly 4.8% of ether's 120.7 million-token supply.
The company said the weekly addition places it about 96% of the way toward a stated target to hold 5% of ether. Using an assumed price of $1,820 per ETH, Bitmine valued the position at about $10.5 billion.
Bitmine reported that 4.92 million ETH, more than 85% of its total holdings, is currently staked. The firm reported a seven-day staking yield of 2.70% and projected annualized staking revenue of about $242 million, rising to roughly $284 million as its MAVAN validator infrastructure scales.
Chairman Tom Lee pointed to recent product launches to illustrate Ethereum's consumer use. He referenced the July 1 mainnet launch of Robinhood Chain and said, “Robinhood's 27 million users are paying crypto fees denominated in ETH. In other words, everyday users are starting to see ETH as money.”
Ether traded lower in the most recent session, falling about 1.95% over 24 hours to $1,766. The token remains roughly 64% below its all-time high of $4,946, reached in August 2025.
Beyond ether, Bitmine reported a bitcoin position of 206 BTC and equity stakes including a $180 million holding in Beast Industries and a $69 million stake in Eightco Holdings. The company listed cash and marketable securities totaling $482 million.
Bitmine shares closed the most recent session at $14.98, up 1.97%. The company said it accelerated purchases in recent weeks while pursuing staking revenue and validator operations to support its broader crypto treasury.
