Alchemy, Privy Integrate to Simplify Onchain Onboarding

Alchemy and Stripe-acquired Privy announced a technical integration letting developers pair Privy’s email and social wallet sign-ins with Alchemy’s gasless transaction tools.

Alchemy and Stripe-acquired Privy announced on Tuesday a technical integration that lets developers combine Privy’s email- and social-login wallet onboarding with Alchemy’s gasless transaction infrastructure in a single developer stack for onchain finance applications.

Privy will provide embedded, non-custodial wallets and familiar sign-in options such as email and social accounts. Alchemy will handle transaction signing, chain routing and payment of transaction fees so users do not need to hold a blockchain’s native token or pay gas directly.

The combined stack enables a signup-through-transaction flow that hides technical details such as seed phrases, gas tokens and chain IDs, allowing users to complete actions with a single click where the app supports it.

The integration routes and sponsors transactions on behalf of users, and abstracts approvals and chain selection away from the end user. The companies described the work as a developer-facing integration that is ready for use, but they did not disclose a specific date for general availability.

In a joint announcement, the companies wrote: “By combining Privy's user onboarding with Alchemy's gasless transaction infrastructure, the two platforms together make it easier than ever for developers to build onchain products that feel as simple as the best online experiences.” The announcement added: “Together, the integrated stack takes a user from first-time signup to completing a transaction without the friction points that typically deter mainstream adoption.”

The firms framed the integration as addressing common user experience barriers in crypto such as complex signup flows, wallet setup, manual approvals and the need to obtain gas tokens. They said the tooling is intended for developers building onchain finance products, including tokenized versions of traditional financial products and privately issued digital dollars.

Alchemy provides blockchain infrastructure and developer tools used across multiple chains. Privy offers non-custodial wallet infrastructure and was acquired by Stripe, which has backed the company financially.
