Stork launches 24/7 oracle for stocks and commodities

Stork will publish continuous price feeds for eight assets using perpetual-futures data from Binance, Bitget, Hyperliquid, Lighter and OKX.

Stork released a methodology to produce around-the-clock price feeds for stocks and commodities by routing perpetual-futures market data into its oracle. The initial set of eight assets includes gold, silver, WTI and Brent crude, plus Tesla (TSLA), Circle (CRCL), Nvidia (NVDA) and MicroStrategy (MSTR).

The feed uses spot-exchange prices during regular trading hours and switches to a Perpetual Swap Oracle Price Feed on nights, weekends and holidays. Stork says the approach relies on continuous price signals from perpetual futures, which trade 24/7, while applying safeguards to limit manipulation and to manage price gaps when spot markets reopen.

Stork reported that off-hours activity on the named exchanges accounted for more than 20% of cumulative trading volume for some covered assets. The methodology lets exchanges and users configure how sensitive the oracle is to overnight and weekend order-book activity, allowing platforms to balance access to fresh prices with protections that slow or filter sudden moves.

The feeds are modular and configurable. Clients can adjust parameters such as responsiveness to off-hours liquidity and thresholds to exclude outlier trades. Stork said the design aims to provide manipulation-resistant prices for real-world assets by leaning on perpetuals when spot markets are closed.

Meredith Pitkoff, founder and CEO of Stork, noted: “Price discovery is now taking place during nights and weekends, and we’re seeing demand from both the institutional and the crypto-native sides of our business. We’ve carefully studied safeguards that can capture this price discovery while minimizing manipulation risk and gaps at market-status transition, giving us the confidence to deliver 24/7 oracle prices using this methodology.”

Stork launched in 2022 and currently powers more than half of daily volume in onchain perpetuals markets. The company serves as the default or preferred oracle for some real-world-asset perpetual platforms, including Lighter, and expanded into 24/5 price feeds for RWA products last year. Stork raised $4.7 million in seed funding in 2024.

Stork will start with the eight named assets and said additional feeds are available on request. The company framed the offering as a response to demand from institutional traders and crypto-native platforms that require continuous market pricing when traditional exchanges are closed.
