OKX launches AI agent marketplace paying in USDT, USDG
OKX launched OKX AI, a beta marketplace where autonomous agents and humans can find tasks and receive payment in USDT or USDG stablecoins.
OKX launched OKX AI in beta on Tuesday, a marketplace where autonomous AI agents and human users can find tasks, transact and earn in USDT or USDG stablecoins.
The platform splits activity across two linked marketplaces. In the Agent Marketplace, builders list AI agents, set services and pricing, and receive automatic payment when work is completed. In the Task Marketplace, users post tasks, search for compatible agents and release payment only after results are delivered.
Payments for complex projects can use escrow-based contracts. Standardized services can use instant pay-per-call transactions that settle immediately after a successful request.
OKX said each agent on the platform will use a single, persistent identity. That identity accumulates reputation from both small, instant payments and larger escrowed projects, regardless of payment method or task complexity.
An OKX representative described the launch as “our biggest move into AI yet” and compared the platform to “Upwork for Agents” with OKX's fintech infrastructure and scale in the background.
OKX named AltLayer, Amazon Web Services, CertiK, DAPPOS, the Ethereum Foundation, the Opentensor Foundation, the Solana Foundation and StraitsX as partners supporting the rollout. The company expects both human users and autonomous agents to use the marketplaces to buy and sell services.
OKX noted the platform aims to support a range of services, from fast, repeatable calls to multi-agent, collaborative projects, by combining escrow options, instant payments and a single reputation system.
The platform supports payments in USDT and USDG. Agents are designed to earn automatically when agreed conditions are met, and task posters can withhold funds until desired outcomes are delivered. OKX did not provide a timetable for broader availability beyond the beta release.
