MoonPay Acquires AI Accounting Startup Entendre
MoonPay has bought Entendre, an AI accounting startup, adding automated agents for reconciliations, treasury and month-end close to its payments infrastructure.
MoonPay has acquired Entendre, an AI accounting startup that builds automated finance agents, the companies announced Monday.
Entendre's software automates finance workflows for high-volume crypto and fintech firms, including reconciliations, journal entries, treasury management and month-end close. MoonPay announced the Entendre platform and team will join immediately and said existing Entendre customers will see no disruption.
MoonPay described the purchase as an expansion into the financial operations layer that supports payments and stablecoin use at scale. MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright noted in the announcement: “If businesses are going to adopt stablecoins at scale, their finance operations need the same speed, context, and automation as the payments themselves. Entendre takes us deeper into the agentic finance layer so businesses can operate in this new paradigm.”
The acquisition follows several deals by MoonPay this year, including purchases of cross-chain routing and liquidity firm Decent.xyz, Solana-focused trading infrastructure DFlow, AI trading tool Dawn and key-management provider Sodot. Last year MoonPay acquired Meso, Iron and Helio.
MoonPay has also launched MoonPay Trade, an institutional-grade unified API for onchain execution, settlement, conversion and payments across more than 200 chains and protocols. MoonPay's chief legal officer and head of MoonPay Institutional, Caroline Pham, will oversee the product; she previously served as acting chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Entendre counts clients including Polygon Labs, Thirdweb, Brale, Babylon Labs, Ostium, Courtyard and DoubleZero. MoonPay stated the integration will enable a broader stack linking payments, execution and finance operations.
