MetaQuotes launches MetaTrader.com data portal
MetaQuotes launched MetaTrader.com, a web-only portal offering market quotes, charts and platform information independent of MetaTrader trading terminals.
MetaQuotes launched MetaTrader.com, a browser-based portal that provides market quotes, charts and reference materials separate from the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 trading terminals.
The portal lets users view instrument prices and charts and access product documentation without installing MetaTrader desktop or mobile apps. Content previously available inside terminal interfaces and broker sites is now reachable directly via a web page.
According to MetaQuotes, the site targets retail traders who want quick access to prices and charts and industry users who need a public source of product information. The company positioned the portal as a central reference point where visitors can compare platform editions, explore account and platform options, and consult educational content.
MetaTrader.com includes documentation on platform capabilities, educational material about the MetaTrader ecosystem, and links to the company’s partner services. The site aggregates data and descriptive content that brokers and the MetaTrader terminals have carried in their interfaces.
MetaQuotes will continue to offer MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 as the company’s platforms for live trading. The new portal provides a web-only interface for market data and product information while the terminals remain the execution and trading environments.
MetaTrader 4 was released in 2005 and MetaTrader 5 in 2010. Both platforms are widely used by retail forex brokers and traders for order execution, automated trading and custom indicator development. The platforms include scripting languages and a marketplace for third-party tools and automated strategies.
By separating market data and informational content into a public website, MetaQuotes has made price data, documentation and product comparisons directly accessible through a browser to prospective clients, existing traders and broker partners.
