Jito Labs launches JTX trading terminal for Solana traders

Jito Labs will roll out JTX, a trading terminal for “pro‑retail” Solana users. Spot trading starts in July; perpetuals via Phoenix and prediction markets will follow.

Jito Labs is launching JTX, a consumer-facing trading terminal aimed at “pro‑retail” Solana users. The platform will open spot trading in July. Perpetual futures will arrive through a partnership with Solana-native exchange Phoenix, and prediction markets will be added later using a protocol the company has not yet named.

Jito Labs developed JTX after operating infrastructure services on Solana, including systems that capture miner-extractable value and validator operations. The company said the terminal represents a move from back-end services to a front-end product for individual traders.

Phoenix will provide the derivatives infrastructure and liquidity for the perpetuals offering, according to Jito Labs. The firm did not give a specific launch date for perps or for the prediction-market protocol.

Lucas Bruder, Jito Labs co-founder and CEO, discussed Solana’s recent network performance and user growth at Consensus Miami. He described Solana as “butter smooth” following a memecoin breakout earlier in 2024.

Bruder added that many new traders prefer Solana because of its speed and low fees, saying, “I think [Solana] already is eating Ethereum's lunch today.”

He characterized JTX’s target users as a “new era of trader” who do not necessarily identify as crypto traders and want to trade a wide set of assets and events.

Perpetual futures and prediction markets have expanded across crypto markets this year, attracting users seeking leveraged exposure to commodities and macro assets and users placing bets on real-world events.

Jito Labs did not disclose detailed launch-day plans beyond the July window for spot trading. The company said it will announce timelines for perpetuals and the name of the protocol for prediction markets at a later date.

Jito Labs described JTX as a single interface for multiple market types running on Solana.
