Bitget Enables Direct Crypto Purchases of U.S. Stocks

Bitget lets verified users buy U.S. stocks directly with bitcoin, ether or stablecoins, handling conversion and custody within its platform without off-platform fiat steps.

Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitget announced that it now allows registered users who complete identity verification to buy U.S. stocks directly using crypto balances on its web platform and mobile app. The feature is available during U.S. market hours and supports popular assets such as bitcoin, ether and major stablecoins.

On the platform, users select a U.S. equity, choose a crypto balance to fund the purchase and submit an order. Bitget converts the crypto into the currency needed to settle the trade, executes the order through its brokerage partners and records the resulting equity position in the user’s account under the platform’s custody framework. The service supports fractional shares so customers can buy portions of high‑priced stocks.

Bitget’s materials state that trades appear as custodial equity positions and that customers must meet the platform’s identity verification requirements. Trading fees, custody arrangements, minimum order sizes and other conditions are listed in Bitget’s fee schedule and account terms. Some stocks or services may be unavailable to users in certain regions due to local rules and Bitget’s compliance checks.

The offering relies on partnerships with brokerage and custody providers and on compliance processes to meet securities and anti‑money‑laundering rules in the jurisdictions where the service is offered. Bitget says access may be limited or adjusted as regulatory requirements change.

Crypto exchanges have been adding products such as tokenized stocks, fiat on‑ramps and brokerage-style equity access. Direct crypto-to-stock purchases allow users to move from digital assets to traditional equities within a single platform without requiring separate fiat conversions.
