Bitget launches U.S. stock options on Stock+

Bitget launched U.S. stock options trading on its Stock+ platform for eligible users, starting with long calls and long puts as single-leg purchases.

Bitget launched U.S. stock options trading on its Stock+ platform for eligible users. The initial rollout offers long call and long put contracts as single-leg purchases, enabling directional exposure or downside hedging.

The product is available only to customers who meet Bitget’s eligibility requirements. Buyers’ maximum loss is limited to the option premium paid, while contracts can expire worthless if the expected price move does not occur.

At launch the platform supports only single-leg purchases. Bitget plans to add more advanced multi-leg option strategies and trading features in later updates, and will monitor demand and user behavior before expanding functionality.

Bitget cited growth in the U.S. options market as part of the rationale for the expansion, noting that listed options trading processed more than 15.2 billion contracts in 2025, averaging about 60 million contracts per trading day. The exchange said both retail and institutional participants increasingly use options for directional trades, hedging and capital management.

Gracy Chen, Bitget’s chief executive, described the rollout as “From tokenized stocks to now options, we are executing on convergence,” and added the company aims to offer advanced trading access across stocks, gold, crypto and other global assets.

Other exchanges have announced expanded options and tokenized equity products this year, broadening the range of trading instruments available to users.

Bitget emphasized the options product is intended for eligible users who understand option risks. The Stock+ platform will continue to offer tokenized equities and access to pre-IPO private-market deals alongside the new listed options product.
