Binance Wallet adds Plume nBASIS vault for Invesco, Bitwise funds
Binance Wallet integrated Plume’s nBASIS vault, letting users onchain hold tokenized Invesco USTB and Bitwise USCC funds issued by Superstate, each yielding about 3.5%.
Binance Wallet has integrated Plume's nBASIS yield vault into the self-custody wallet inside the Binance app, allowing users to hold tokenized shares of the Invesco Short Duration U.S. Government Securities Fund (USTB) and the Bitwise Crypto Carry Fund (USCC) onchain. Superstate issued the tokenized funds. USTB manages more than $860 million in assets and USCC manages over $170 million; both currently offer roughly 3.5% yield.
Plume describes nBASIS as its flagship structured income real-world asset (RWA) yield product and the first structured income RWA integration for Binance Wallet. Binance Wallet previously integrated DeFi yield options and tokenized spot equities. Users retain control of their private keys while holding these tokenized fund positions inside the app.
In a separate initiative last month, Plume partnered with ether.fi to launch a new yield-bearing RWA vault backed by a $100 million commitment from ether.fi, with $25 million allocated to nBASIS. Plume also operates onchain vaults tied to tokenized versions of BlackRock CLOA, Apollo ACRDX, WisdomTree CRDYX, the FalconX Credit Pool and BlackOpal LiquidStone II. The company has distribution relationships with platforms including Bybit, ether.fi and Binance.
Ryan Wen, head of operations and strategy at Plume, described distribution as the central challenge for tokenization, noting “Most folks have come to tokenization starting from an asset-first perspective rather than a distribution-first perspective, meaning the stories are always about what assets people are bringing onchain, but the reality is that what matters is getting these assets into the hands of users — one user holding $1 billion in assets is less interesting than $500 million in 100,000 users' hands.” He added, “Distribution-first tokenization is what will usher in the next million onchain users and the next trillion dollars onchain.”
Tokenization converts traditional financial assets such as stocks, bonds and funds into digital tokens that can be transferred, held and traded on a blockchain. In this integration, Superstate tokenizes the underlying fund shares so they can be used within Plume's vaults and accessed by Binance Wallet users.
The integration provides an onchain route for Binance Wallet users to access regulated fund exposures while retaining self-custody of their keys.
