Ark Invest Buys Coinbase, Circle, Bullish and Robinhood

Ark Invest purchased shares of Coinbase, Circle, Bullish and Robinhood on Thursday across three of its exchange-traded funds, according to the firm's regulatory filing.

The firm bought 9,014 shares of Coinbase (COIN) across ARKK, ARKW and ARKF, valued at about $1.28 million at Thursday's close. Ark added 9,264 shares of Circle (CRCL) worth roughly $637,455 and 9,136 shares of Bullish (BLSH) valued at about $199,895. Through ARKK, the firm acquired 35,023 shares of Robinhood (HOOD), about $3.27 million at the close.

All four stocks were trading lower on the day the purchases were disclosed. Coinbase closed down about 5% at $142.52, Circle fell about 3% to $68.81, Robinhood slipped about 3.85% to $93.47 and Bullish declined about 6.77% to $21.88.

Ark manages its actively traded ETFs with limits that prevent any single holding from exceeding 10% of a fund's assets. The firm regularly rebalances holdings to maintain those weightings as prices and portfolio values change.

In a thread on X and while on a roadshow in Asia and Europe, Ark CEO Cathie Wood wrote that rising productivity is exerting downward pressure on inflation. She wrote that unit labor costs put inflation at about 0.5% year-over-year and that she expects Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh to address monetary policy with attention to productivity and measurement issues.
